Farm-Her Carmen is truly the secret to fully experiencing the garden. On her walking tours participants learn about the plants in the garden, the best ways to use them, and tips to start their own gardens. Carmen also encourages everyone to take a moment (and a seat) to listen to the sounds of the birds and beehives and get their hands dirty by either planting or harvesting some of what is grown here.

Thanks Friends!

The blooms of the season are bursting with stories to share!

We kicked off this vibrant journey in the refreshing chill of early Spring, inviting everyone to revel in the lush greenery. We thrived, we were pollinated, and our colors exploded into a breathtaking display! We celebrated your laughter and joy, and wrapped you in our embrace during moments of sadness and tears. Yes, we flourished once more alongside your through the ever-changing tapestry of Fall. You preserves—and so did we! Now, as night falls, it’s time for a well-deserved rest, so we can rise once again together. May your generosity be overflowing, and your tales be nothing short of magnificent. Thank you!

Nurturing Nature

Dear Friends of Oases Botanic Gardens,

As you navigate the vibrant landscapes of your area, take a moment to immerse yourself in the beauty and significance of the native flora. The native plants are not just botanical wonders; they are guardians of the land’s history, biodiversity, and cultural heritage.

Explore – Embark on a journey through local parks, community gardens, and natural reserves. Discover the unique wildflowers, trees, and shrubs that have called the area home. Wander along trails shaded by native trees, witness the seasonal dance of wildflowers, and breathe in the scents of the earth beneath your feet.

Appreciate – Take the time to truly appreciate the intricate details of each native plant. Marvel at the burst of colors in spring, the lush greenery of summer, the warm hues of fall, and the serene beauty of winter. These plants are not just ornaments; they are essential threads in the tapestry of the ecosystems.

Contribute to Conservation – Your role in preserving and conserving these native plants is pivotal. Consider the following ways to contribute:

  1. Plant Natives in Your Garden
  2. Participate in Community Initiatives
  3. Educate and Raise Awareness
  4. Support Local Conservation Organizations
  5. Practice Sustainable Gardening
  6. Be a Steward of Green Space

Every step you take in exploring, appreciating, and contributing to the conservation of native plants, is a step towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable community. Your involvement is not just a gesture; it is a commitment to preserving the natural legacy of this unique gift for generations to come.

Thank you for being a guardian of the native flora and a champion for your area’s environmental well-being.

Sincerely,

Carmen McKee, Advocate for Nature Conservation
